Raye-Allen Library

Welcome to the Raye-Allen Library!

We are so fortunate at Raye-Allen Elementary to have a beautiful library filled with many wonderful books.  Our collection includes over 11,000 books.  There is something for each of our students to read, to learn and to enjoy in our library.  The desire is for all of our Raye-Allen students to become life-long readers.  Please come by and take a look.  I look forward to seeing you and to meeting you.

We have three Book Fairs each year at Raye-Allen.  The purpose of having three is to continue to get books into the hands of our students.  Reading is the path to success for students.  Our library is here to support the teachers, students and parents so our students will be successful learners.  At Raye-Allen, we are strong supporters of the Renaissance Place - AR program.  AR is a great way to encourage our students to be readers.  This program is strongly supported by our principal, Miss Leidy and our teachers.  If you need help in understanding the program, locating books for your child or help in any other way, please come see us.

I look forward to seeing you in the Raye-Allen Library.

Fall Fundraising Book Fair
The Fall Fundrasising Book Fair is November 7 - 11.  We will preview books on Monday.  Students and parents can start purchasing on Tuesday.  The Book Fair will be open from 7:45 - 2:45 and 3:15 - 3:45 Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  We close on Friday morning at 10:00.    Students will need $5.50 to purchase books as most of the books are $4.99 plus tax. There is a great selection of books.  We will also have books that teachers have chosen to be added to their classroom.  You might like the opportunity to help provide these for your students classroom.
On Thursday, November 10th you can join us for our Thanksgiving Lunch during your student/s lunch time.

We look forward to seeing all of you at the book fair.
RIF
Raye-Allen will be participating in RIF again this year.  This is an opportunity for our students to receive 3(three) free books to keep.  All of our students love these three events.
